A CAPSULE COLLECTION THAT TELLS THE STORY OF TRADITION AND INNOVATION

Our collection is called Inside Blue. Inspired by one of the oldest artisans we have worked with,Mr Shikena who is 95 years old,a small scale cotton farmer who is also a master at hand embroidery and hand dyeing with indigo.

Tie-dyeing is a key element in of the pieces created at Nkwo, as well as mixing denim, traditional dyes and aso-oke, a Nigerian weaving technique.

In this capsule Nkwo celebrates indigo, a beautiful blue dye emblematic of many West African countries.

As part of a unique project by Yoox in partnership with Lago54paris, we collaborated with Yoox to create a capsule collection that tells the story of tradition and innovation.

A Contemporary take on african craftsmanship
